Charlie Bone Series ReviewOk, if you love the Harry Potter series you will probably want to add this one to your collection. It is very similar, although not quite as well done. When Charlie Bone is 10 years old, he discovers that he can look at photographs and hear the conversations and even the thoughts that were taking place at the time the photo was taken. Charlie's family, on his father's side, all had magical abilities and his scheming aunts have been keeping a careful watch on Charlie to see if he has them too. In the first book, Charlie hears a conversation that has him searching for a girl that dissapeared years ago. when When his aunts send him to Bloor's Academy, an elite boarding school for the gifted, his life will never be the same. Charlie, and his friends risk dangers, discovery by the evil clan running the school and his wicked aunts' wrath to try to find a way to get the girl back. Ok, so it does seem to bear a striking resemblance to Harry Potter - boy about the same age, magical school, etc ... and maybe it isn't quite as well written. That said, it still drew me in enough to read the second book and to eagerly await the next books in the series. If magical adventures thrill you, this series is definitely worth delving into. Or at least it will satisfy your need for magical mysteries, schools and villains until the next Harry Potter Book comes out. Thank you for reading our book review.
